People

Activities get a People leaf when it operates or produces in such a way that their people are taken good care off, preferably including inclusive businesses. It should also interact positively with local residence people and supports the local economy by sourcing products from within the catchment area. They have positively contributed to the livelihoods of local people by reducing their social vulnerability and economic self-sufficiency.

Kasungu National Park

Kasungu National Park used to be one of the best parks in the World, apparently rivalling the best parks in Southern Africa. Due to high volumes of poaching and non sustainable development, the park has been stripped of its animals during the past decade or more. Together with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, ACT to Protect seeks to restore this wonderful National Park back to its former glory and help the people of Kasungu help themselves.  A long term plan for the protection, restoration and development of Kasungu National Park and the region around it, has been developed by both local experts and foreign experts. Now it time to make this a reality…
